Date Night

Sam is officially pulling himself up and cruising the furniture. He's not shy about getting up close and personal, which usually leaves you with a pretty good drool spot where ever that little mug lands.

As you can tell, he's pretty happy with his new found skill. While a lot of it is the camera angle, check out those mitts!

On a more somber note for Daddy, Audrey went on her first date to the local bowling alley with her good buddy Jakey Beckerman (yes, that's how she says it). They used to spend two days a week together so it's very nice that they still get to see each other once in awhile.

WHOA THERE JAKEY BECKERMAN . . . STAND DOWN!!!!!

Sam was none-to-pleased either with that last photo. He's trying to give his "tough little brother" face to good 'ol Jakey Beckerman. Sorry Sam, I think you're going to be more of a lover than a fighter . . .

. . . case in point. Sam had no idea a superbowl party would result in little girls paying so much attention to him. He's much more used to his big sister bringing the hammer vs. the little cuddles he's receiving here.

He's been trying to relive the moment ever since. "See mommy, I can do cool tricks for my fans!".

"Fans, did someone say fans?!". Audrey actually really enjoyed watching the Grammys and Oscars with Mommy. Well, more so the red carpet. I've used this line many times before, but any guess who she is going to take after?

100% 3 year old girls.

Audrey gets a popsicle each night if she's been a good girl. And let me tell you being a "good girl" consists of two things; 1. Eating her dinner, and 2. Not causing permanent injury to Sam. Right about now I'm questioning if she was nice to Sam for the whole day. Would those eyes lie?

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Audrey . . .

. . . so of course we needed a Sam version. The crib was actually recalled last year. Had this been during Audrey's first few months we would have been headed straight to Babies'R'Us. Isn't it funny how much more relaxed parents are with the second? In all fairness, the recall was due to kids kicking and breaking through the slats. As Lisa says "Who still has their 4 year old in a crib?".
